Meet at the main entrance of the State Rose Garden at 11 am. Sandra will give us a brief tour of the Rose garden.

Then to Werribee Mansion Gardens
Stanton will direct us to a parking area near the newly established dahlia beds and annual flowers Stanton will be our dahlia guide. Lunch near the Mansion. BYO LUNCH or buy from the nearby coffee shop.
If you have time, I have organised permission for members and friends heading back home to visit PLANTMARK WHOLESALE NURSERY, situated at 1 K Road Werribee South on the right side before the lights heading back into Melbourne, and buy a plant or two. Simply say Sunshine Golden Age Garden Club Inc and if required for regulation sake our ABN 46 003 249 800 .

Our club will have our long awaited and celebratory tree planting ceremony at the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne on Monday the 3rd of April 2023 at 10.00 am. The tree is the Araucaria Montana.

A social get together - NO GENERAL MEETING NO ORGANIZED ACTIVITIES - simply to catch up with each other share some finger food and a warm or cold drink.

If you would like to bring a plate or your drink of choice that would be great to supplement and add variety.   We have chosen for this get together a venue that has a garden and a hall to insure for  the uncertainty of our Melbourne weather.

Family and friends most welcome. BYO food and drink and hat or umbrella. There are seating areas down from the car park and some in the rose garden.

At 12.30 pm we will head off to Plantmark Wholesale Garden Nursery, Cnr Duncans and K roads Werribee South, for a look around and to spend some money to take home our plants of choice. More details on the day. Umbrellas are useful for rain but fantastic for protecting you from the sun. 

Members attending this day are most likely to go home with a Shiso Perilla plant

Post Office Nursery - Sunday 16 July

 Post Office Nursery are Hellebore specialists. The 2017 season is open to visitors from Sunday 10 am to 4 pm on 4 June to 24 September. At 11 am and 2 pm there are nursery tours.  ​Chris will attend on 16th July at 11 am so come along and join our little group.
